I’m a firm believer that learning is one of the most important things we can do for our careers.

I’ve made continuous learning and shipping projects a priority in 2019 and will continue to place a great amount of value on both throughout the rest of my life, not just my career.

This is the first year in a long time that I haven’t read anything not career-related and I plan to get back into reading about some of my favorite topics including US History, specifically topics related to the American Revolution and World War II.

I’ve provided a list of what I’ve read, watched, listened to, attended, and shipped in 2019:

Here are some of the things I’ve participated in:

  • Completed Seth Godin’s 100-weeklong The Marketing Seminar
  • Became a member of Forward Link (a community for Akimbo Alumni)
  • Became a member of a Mastermind group of TMS alumni
  • Became a member of the Right Company; a community of support, accountability, and knowledge sharing for people building companies or working on projects.
  • Created another post-TMS alumni Slack group for staying connected with and continuing to learn from members of my cohort
  • Completed the Akimbo Story Skills Workshop with Bernadette Jiwa
  • Was accepted into Seth Godin’s altMBA which will begin in January 2020
